The Balanced Runner System Foundations

ATM Teacher Training

taught by Jae Gruenke, GCFP

Founder of The Balanced Runner

18 March to 15 May 2026 (excluding the first two weeks of April)

Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30 pm UK time

Registration Deadline: Monday 16 March 2026

In this special course for Feldenkrais teachers and trainees you'll learn to teach The Balanced Runner System™ Foundations series of Awareness Through Movement® lessons for runners.

This course is composed of seven weeks of material with a two week break in early April. Each week you'll do a lesson from The Balanced Runner System™ online running form course, which contains the sequence of ATM lessons Jae has honed over 24 years of professional practice to lay the movement foundations for healthy distance/endurance running form. (The lessons are also relevant to sprinting but are not comprehensive for that sport.)

In addition, each week in a live call Jae will discuss the internal structure of the week's lesson, how it meets a particular set of needs in running, and how it relates to the other lessons in the course. This will enable you to go beyond the personal experiences you had with the lesson to master the material and be able to teach it, adapting and improvising as needed while maintaining its relevance and effectiveness.

Upon completing the course (including attending at least 6 of the 7 live calls or a makeup call) and demonstrating competence with the lessons, you'll receive authorization to say you're teaching The Balanced Runner Foundations Lesson Series and will be listed as a teacher of the series on balancedrunner.com.
